New US Embassy, Harare officially opens, representing ZimSculpt sculptors

6 May 2019

We were honoured to have been approached by the US Government in Washington DC to advise them who we thought were some of the top Zimbabwean sculptors of all time.

From our list they chose Tapfuma Gutsa, the late Joram Mariga (represented here by his widow, Maud Mariga) and Sylvester Mubayi.  Here they are at the new US Embassy Harare, proudly standing by their sculptures representing Zimbabwean sculptors for all time.

We thank the U.S. government for supporting Zimbabwean artists and making this important cultural exchange between us.

We feel privileged to host an exhibition of this highly-acclaimed spiritual and yet truly contemporary artwork. It is quite thought-provoking that these sculptors are producing such inspiring work despite the political unrest in their country.
