ZimSculpt article in local Arts Magazine ‘Zim Artist’

23 March 2015

The Zim Artist magazine is published in Harare and has only be going for a short while so we’re proud to be in their Autumn Edition this month.

The magazine covers many different mediums by Zimbabwean artists and is a must-read for anyone in the arts business, an artist or indeed a potential customer looking for authentic Zimbabwean/African art work.

Our article on page 29 talks about how we started and where we’ve exhibited, how we procure our sculptures and how many artists we represent.  We also run sculpture workshops and tours of local Harare-based sculptors.  We’ve had quite a number of inquiries from this publication already.

If you would like to subscribe to the magazine they do post nationally and internationally.  Their current rate is $32 a year to anywhere in the world.  Please contact [email protected] to receive your monthly copy.  It really is a fascinating read and any way we can support Zimbabwean art abroad is worth its weight in gold.

I have praised Zimbabwean stone sculpture in the media for many years now, and known it to touch many hearts. I am very happy that I need not take back a single word of that praise. And even happier, that this sculpture has been taken up by the younger generation and has flowered beyond all expectation. Go and give it your support. It is phenomenal — a glimpse of what Africa has to offer the world in this century, which seems to have started so terribly.
