Christmas – A time for giving…

23 December 2005

We wanted to write briefly and shed some festive cheer, to let you know what we’ve been doing with either the money and/or the clothes and toys that we received as donations – during our tour of London this Summer.

Visiting the length and breadth of the country in the past two weeks with 18 boxes of donated goodies has been excellent fun and extremely rewarding.

We wanted to share the pictures of joy with you… everyone was told to hold up their donations!!

As I’ve taken most of them, I’m not in them – but believe me I was there! Only one when we visited an orphanage with a box of toys more suitable for groups of children (I’m standing far left if you don’t remember me!).

So an extremley BIG thank you to all of you from the families and children in Zimbabwe, you really made a happy Christmas.

Monies collected in our donation box went towards shipping everything out here. I would also like to sincerely thank Elite Forwarders (UK) who made it possible for all of the goodies to arrive before Christmas time and the charity organisation we support here in Zimbabwe, IPA (more info on our Charity page) – who helped us with all the paperwork…
