Amon Mwareka (1950 March 1992) was a Zimbabwean sculptor.
Born in Nyanga and educated at a Mission School, Amon Mwareka started modeling clay and carving wood, as a hobby, from an early age. He met Frank McEwan at Vukutu in 1969 when he was working there as a builders assistant, and was inspired to try his hand at sculpting stone.
His work abounds with feeling and is full of life and vigour. Amon exhibited for the first time in 1971 at the 14th Annual (National Gallery Of Zimbabwe) and had his first one-man exhibition in 1985.
