Joseph Ndandarika (1940–1991) was a towering figure in African art, widely regarded as one of the most gifted and “universal geniuses” of the First Generation of Zimbabwean stone sculptors.
His work helped transform the “Shona Sculpture” movement from a local craft into a globally recognized fine art form.

His children, Ronnie Dongo and Virginia Ndandarika, also became respected artists, ensuring the “Ndandarika style” lived on through subsequent generations.
