Everesto was born in 1948 at All Souls Mission around Mutoko area.  He started going to school in 1960.  When he was 12 years old he had many part time jobs.  In 1972 he started carving wood and soap stone.  Someone who helped him was Casper Darare.

Everesto specialises in heads.

He has seven children, four boys and three girls.  Michael his eldest is also an artist.
