Tendai Chipiri Machimika was born on the 7th of October 1980 been the fifth born in a family of six.
His primary and secondary education at was at Pakati school in the rural town of Murehwa Zimbabwe, approximately 1 ½ hours east of Harare.
After school, he was invited by his brother Artwell (who was becoming an established carver) to join him in the township of Chitungwiza and learn how to become an artist.
Tendai’s works include birds and human figures made out of fruit stone and at time spring stone.
He is married and they have one son.
Having competed in National exhibitions, he has expectations one day to be invited internationally to display his art.
