Shingirai Masedza was born on the 22 November 1975 in Mtoko rural area, he was born in a family of 8 in 5boys and 3 girls.

He did his primary education in 1981 and his secondary in 1988 to 1992 that’s where he finished his ‘O’ level In he was inspired by his brothers Mike and Teddy Masedza, he used to help washing their sculptures when he came back from school.

After he finished his O level he then joined Godfrey Machinjili at Chapungu Sculpture Park and worked as an assistant, he also worked with Gift Muchenje and again worked with Authur Fata also at Chapungu and he used to work on different stones like Springstone ,Cobalt ,Opal Vedite ,Lepidolite and many more.

Shingirai is good at working on Creations and some abstracts and fine art.  In 1999 he started to work on his on trying to make his own style and he joined Art Peace Cooperative at Silveira House, where he is currently working today.
