Rufaro Ngoma

Rufaro was born on the 29th of May 1981 in Nyanga (Zimbabwe)

Rufaro went to both primary and secondary school at Anla Mission School.

Rufaro grew up loving sculpture in the gallery of Nyanga Craft Centre. Using first hand testimonial evidence immediate from his primary and high school education in 2007.

Herding cattle, playing banjo guitar and moulding animals with clay with love were various elements that formed a strong education and social background for himself. He then teamed up with the renowned Cephas Mashaya.

From humble beginnings, Rufaro sealed dizzy heights to become a prominent artist in the international contemporary art arena. Rufaro is genious driven by hardwork and creativity. His work captures every major developement and turning point in his quarter century long life.

Now Rufaro is known as the Golden Boy of Zimbabwean stone sculpture, the interesting showcases of Rufaros rise up is well represented by his pieces sold locally and abroad in countries such as Germany, Canada, USA, UK, South Korea, Holland and South Africa.
