Reason Chakawa ws born in 1974 in the Guruve district. He belongs to the korekore tribe and his totem is matemai or big fish. Reason completed 11 years of schooling but started sculpting in 1984 under the influence of Davison Chakawa. Reason has exhibited in Holland, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, USA, RSA, UK, and Norway.
