I was born 25^th January 1975 in Rusape district Zimbabwe.   I was born in the family of 6 of which I am the fourth born. In our family we are three boys and three girls. I did my primary education at Clare primary school and my secondary education at Mavhudzi secondary school.

I started carving in 2000, I was taught by my brother Josiah Edmore Chirume.  I started by carving elephants.  Now I specialise mostly in carving group elephants or family elephants, it is not a common art.  My art has a story.

I mostly like to work on hard stones like cobalt, opal, butter jade and lapidolite among other types of hard stones.  I sell my sculptures to customers worldwide.

I am a married man with two children one boy and one girl.

I work in Chitungwiza Arts Centre.
