Itai was born on the 31st of October in 1999. He did his primary school in Nyanga. He was motivated to pursue stone carving by his father Sekesayi Mangenda who focuses on carving heads.

Itai enjoys carving bust size portraits and whale tails on various types of stones. He has never participated in any exhibition before, but is planning to partake in exhibitions and workshops that may arise in the future.

When he is not at work he spends a good part of that time with the praise and worship team at his church.
