Felix Mlungisi is a leading member of the new generation of Zimbabwean sculptors.

He was born in Masvingo province, Zimbabwe.  In 1998 he completed his secondary education at Hippo Valley school and moved to the capital city Harare to look for better life.

In Harare he began to study under his uncle, the established sculptor Rangarirai Makunde who provided him with excellent technical and artistic guidance.  In 2000 he began making his own sculptures and he developed his own unique style of abstract figures, animals, persons – all characterized by elegant lines and fine finish and produced in a great variety of sizes.

During this period he had several additional teachers like Gladman Zinyeka, Colleen Madamombe and Gerald Takawira.  Since then he has never stopped or looked back.

The stones he works on are Serpentine, Opal, Verdite and Springstone among other types of hard rocks.

Felix married in 2004 to Hilda and they have a son Tinotenda and a daughter Nokutenda.
