Vickson was born on the 11th September 1974. His primary education was at Tsinhirano Primary School, in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Vickson started sculpting when he was seven years old. Alongside Tapfuma Gutsa, Garrison Machinjili, Fabian Madamombe and Dominic Benhura.

Vickson worked at Chapungu from 1991 to 1994 alongside Dominic Benhura, one of the worlds leading sculptors.

From 1994-1999 he worked with other artists in Greendale, Harare, before moving to work at this house at Tafara.

Vickson went to Belgium in 1997 with Dominic Benhura where they had a workshop with various other European artists.

He has exhibited extensively in group shows in the UK, Belgium, Holland, USA and Australia.
