Shandukai started sculpting in 1988 as a student to the renowned Tapfuma Gutsa and the Utonga Studio.

In Shandukai’s free time he would work on his own sculptures and Tapfuma strongly inspired him in such ways that he was able to do his own works after a short time.

Shandukai then worked for a short period with Dominic Benhura from 1993 to 1998.

His works can be found all over the world. In Zimbabwe they can be found at the Chapungu Sculpture Park and the National Gallery Of Zimbabwe.
