Snowden Nkanjo

Snowden was educated until secondary school and from there he became interested in drawing and later on in sculpting.

His brother Bernard first introduced him to stone, as he was already an established artist, so Snowden used to assist him during the school holidays and weekends.

In 1996 he started assisting another established artist Garrison Machinjili, where he gained further experience and they worked together at a gallery called Gallery 2000, which has since closed in Harare.

In 1997 he decided to start working for himself and began creating birdbaths, for which he is infamous for now.

At Gallery 2000 he had his first order for his birdbaths in 1998 and since then has not looked back.

Snowden’s birdbaths have sold the world over, their popularity comes from beingreasonably priced, adhering and functional. A must for any garden, patio or verandah.
