Daniel Mudimu, born on the 20th of June 1978 in Mash-West province in Zimbabwe, in a humble family but rich in artistic mind.
Daniel did his secondary education at Magunje High School. It was in 1991 when he was in grade 7 when he discovered that he is a well talented artist when Daniels teacher asked him to carve his portrait. Daniel did it in a professional way and his teacher was not surprised since he knew that Daniel was a son of an artist.
After his Ordinary level, Daniel went to Kwekwe where his late brother David Mudimu was a member of the Kwekwe Craft Centre. He inspired Daniel to be serious in craft and from there he went to Chitungwiza were Daniel met lady called Rosemary Chakanyuka. Daniel worked with her for a longtime. In 1997, Daniel joined Chitungwiza Art Centre where he discovered a lot in art.
Daniel likes working in opal, springstone and serpentine. In 2002 he did an exhibition in Germany and America. Locally Daniel also did exhibitions and was very successful. Daniel is a promising third generation artist and his ambition is to help the community. During his spare time, he enjoys playing football, watching TV and going to church with his family. Daniel is married with 2 children.
