Collin is 32 years old and was born in Zimbabwe, although his parents originate from Mozambique, the neighbouring country.

He was educated at Tsinhirano Primary School and went to Secondary School in Tafara and finished his O’Levels at Specie’s Colleage in Harare.

He was inspired to work on stones by the infamousTapfuma Gutsa and Dominic Benhura who also resided in Tafara when they were young.

He started to work with Migeri Padoso as his assistant in 1986 and in 1987 was called by Cosmos Muchenje to assist with his works.

In 1989 Chapungu Sculpture Park invited him to become a Resident Sculptor. After a year Chapungu awarded him a certificate of Exceptional Works.

Collin’s work has been exhibited in most countries such as;Germany, France, Holland, England, South Africa, Korea, China and Japan.

In 2005 Collin was invited to Japan for the World Global Workshop in Aichi Nagoya for the Expo 2005 demonstrations.

Collin works from a studio in Tafara, shared with other sculptors; Varea, Dickson and Anthony.
